Welcome to Hunters Lodge, Bed & Breakfast, Southampton webpage.
Whether your visit is for business or pleasure our aim is to make your stay an enjoyable and pleasant experience. The current owners, Jim and Josie Dean, moved to Southampton from Poole, to take over Hunters Lodge in November 2001 after having careers in the Banking and Insurance industries.
Hunters Lodge is conveniently situated for Southampton City Centre including the Guild Hall, Civic Centre, Mayflower Theatre, West Quay Shopping, including the new IKEA store (opening Spring 2009), Leisureworld, Ocean Village Marina, Docks, Ferry Port, Cruise Terminals, University, General Hospital, Royal South Hants and Spire Southampton (formerly the Chealybeate BUPA) Hospitals.
Located in a quiet residential district yet within easy accessibility of the city centre our double fronted Victorian house retains many original features which are enhanced by the furnishing styles within the public areas. Built in 1900 Hunters Lodge has operated as a hotel, guest house and bed & breakfast providing accommodation since 1926 and was extended to its present size in the 1970's and late1980's.
There is a spacious dining room and a lounge with a licensed residents bar. Our lounge and bar area creates a warm and friendly atmosphere for you to enjoy a drink, view television or just simply relax with a good book. Our bedrooms are comfortable and well equipped and the dining room awaits you in the morning for a complete and hearty breakfast.
